Quite a while ago @gluexfee posted a pic of a customized rolling pin. I liked the idea so much that I went and ordered a rolling pin engraved with MNAMNAM from the maker, Valek Rolling Pins . I use a close up of the rolling pin as my header photo of the blog and in my various social media accounts.
Months later I now finally tried it & it works a treat! It worked with your run-of-the-mill vanilla biscuit recipe (335g flour, 90g confectioners sugar, 180g butter, 3 egg yolks, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract). Alternatively, my chai tea bikkie recipe would work as well. It is important to chill the dough in the fridge for an hour before rolling it. Also, sprinkling the rolled out dough with confectioner's sugar or baker's starch is a must.
